For The Seventh Consecutive Year, Race Face And Whistler Bicycle Park Team Up.

Race Face Components Inc. is proud to announce its re-signation as official components and armour sponsor of Whistler Mountain Bicycle Park for the 2008 and 2009.

Race Face has signed a two-year contract with Whistler. They will supply all rental bikes and guides, as well as DH specific components spec. Race Face’s bombproof Diabolus D2 Chain Guide is included in the new contract. Race Face will also provide a complete line of armour, including the Rally DH Armour jacket.

Race Faces Julian Coffey says that we have had a long-standing, successful affiliation with Whistler Bike Park. They are still the leaders in creating a world-class, lift-assisted riding destination.

Race Face is proud to have been a part in that growth. We are proud to provide components that can withstand the most severe punishments that an armoured bike-riding maniac can throw at them. Six years later, we have not seen a single component fail in six years of providing components for the park. This is quite impressive considering the intense riding these bikes do each season.

Whistler’s construction crews will soon be back at work, getting the Park ready to shred when it opens in May. With the No Joke rebuild, and Blue Velvet continuing in the Garbo area, you can expect a lot of work to be done to the Park. The Lower Bike Park will also get some love, including extensive maintenance, a new Blue Trail and the anticipated Ninja Cougar.

Race Face will be supporting a Trail in the Park this year, the appropriately named Crank It Up. Crank It up is an all-round blue trail that’s suitable for all levels of riding. This trail is great for anyone looking to get a warm-up before the day’s slaying starts or to end things with some sweet air.

Race Face will provide Whistler’s complete line of rental and guide bicycles with a complete component specification for 2008-09, including cranks.

Race Face is proud to be the partner of Whistler Mountain Bike Park for the 7th consecutive year. Rob McSkimming, VP Business Development. Our coaches and guides ride vertically more than anyone else on the planet, and the Race Face components that they use on their bikes have stood the test of the time. Race Face components are why we chose Race Face components this year for our rental bikes.

Whistler Mountain Bicycle Park boasts more than 200 km of lift-served trails that drop riders over 4,800 feet. Three skill centers and a Biker Cross course are also available at the park.
