CHRISTOPH SAUSER TOSPECIALIZEDOCT 13.

Christoph Sauser, a new World Cup champion, joins Liam Killeen & Sabine Spitz as the Specialized Factory Team’s 2006 and beyond. Christoph, a Swiss 29-year-old professional, is currently in his 10th season.

Sauser will also depend on Specialized shoes and saddles, helmets, and a variety of other equipment. This weekend, Sauser will ride in the World Cup Marathon final at Roc dAzur (France) as his last ride for Siemens Cannondale. In preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games, his primary focus will be to dominate cross-country and marathon World Cups.

Ned Overend, Specialized Team Captain, says Christoph is at the top his career with a series of World Cup wins. He is excited to wear a red Specialized jersey, and crush the competition.

Brit Liam Killeen was a two-time Under 23 World Cup XC Champ. Sabine Spitz, Germany finished second in this year’s World Cup XC Series.

The Specialized off-road team consists of: France Cycling U23 Team riders Alan Obye and Sam Schultz, (U.S. National #3), Nick Waite and John Divine, 2-time Olympic Champ Paola Petzzo (Ita), Red Bull Rampage Champ Kyle Strait and 4th place U.S. National Mountaincross rider Chris Powell. Also, Peter Reid, Ironman Champ, and U.S. Open Champion Ricky Carmichael; 2004 Supercross & U.S.

We couldn’t make the Specializeds Off-road List without Floyd Landis. Landis was a former NORBA Junior, under 23 and Rookie-of-the Year Champ. Floyd was ninth in the Tour this season and is considered one the few riders with the potential to take Lance’s place.
